How To Find What You Are Looking For

You know what you want. You just need the phone number or address of the correct person or business. However, you just can't seem to figure out where to look for this information! If only there were a list that tells you which stores in Scottsdale, Arizona carry Sophia Tolli dresses or how many bags of garbage you're permitted to place at the curb for pickup. Well there is, you just have to know how to find it. Here are some of the easiest ways to find information.

On the Internet

If you're not familiar with the internet, your first stop in any information search is a search engine. Google, Yahoo, and Bing are the most popular. Simply spell out your query, being as specific as possible ('collision repair Saskatoon' is better than simply 'collision repair' or 'Saskatoon auto') and hit search. You'll come up with thousands of hits. You don't need to look at them all, just read the headlines and descriptions to find the one that sounds best to you and click on it. Avoid sponsored links, as they're rarely relevant.

If you're finding your search engine results cluttered with detritus or ads for firms that install conventional water heaters when what you really want is to buy a tankless water heater, you may have to go right to the source. If you know the name of the manufacturer, visit their website and look for the 'find a dealer' or 'find a store' option and plug in your address to find out where to buy one. If it is city services you're looking for, all the information you could ever want is online at Scottsdaleaz.gov.

By Phone

In the minds of young people, telephone inquiries have gone the way of the dinosaur. But in fact, there are many people who prefer the telephone to the computer, either because they like talking to people or because they don't want to pay for internet access. If you're one of these people or you're having difficulty with your internet, the yellow pages are your first step toward finding a Toronto caterer or a Scottsdale auto body shop. All homes, businesses, and public telephones should have a copy lying around. Browse alphabetically by service, such as "catering" or "pizza."

You may not have access to a phone book if you're in a different city or you're out walking for fitness. Toronto or Scottsdale wilderness, if you've got your cell phone on you, you have access to the 4-1-1 network, which can connect you with any business or person you can put a name or location to.
